mg to mcg calculator
Convert milligrams to micrograms, or micrograms to milligrams. One milligram equals 1,000 micrograms.
Conversion formulas
mcg = mg × 1,000
mg = mcg ÷ 1,000
| mg | mcg |
|---|---|
| 0.1 | 100 |
| 0.5 | 500 |
| 1 | 1,000 |
| 2 | 2,000 |
| 10 | 10,000 |
Can I convert mg directly to syringe units?
No. Mass alone does not tell you a liquid volume. You also need concentration. Use the peptide calculator with your vial amount and diluent volume, then read the calculated U-100 units.
Read the mg and mcg guide for more examples.
How many mcg is 2 mg?
2 mg is 2,000 mcg: multiply 2 by 1,000. In the other direction, 500 mcg is 0.5 mg: divide 500 by 1,000. Changing the unit does not change the amount.
Are mcg and µg the same?
Yes. Both mean micrograms. Milligrams (mg) are 1,000 times larger. This tool converts mass only; it does not convert biological activity units, select a dose or determine a liquid volume.
When you also need liquid volume
Use the concentration calculator for mg/mL, then the main calculator for your entered dose and vial. If you already know mL, the U-100 converter gives the corresponding syringe markings.
